（引用はじまり）「In an atmosphere full of excitement festivity, thousands of people enjoyed on Thursday on Corniche Obhur Jeddah the first Saudi Red Bull Flugtag, when they witnessed 32 teams compete altogether for the coveted title.
The title and longest distance was achieved by (Team Sahrer) with 207 Points and (25 meters), whereas creativity was the territory of (Grendizer – RC Jeddah) team.
Red Bull Flugtag, which in English means Flying Day is the biggest competition of its kind and is conducted annually in many countries arround the world. However, Saudi Arabia hosts the event for the first time to be the third country to do so the in Middle East after after the United Arab Emirates and Kuwait.
The competition invites aviation fans to team up with the aim to build up homemade human-powered aircrafts. Competitors should come up with innovative shapes that match the specifications and conditions required for the competition.
The jury consisted of a pannel with sport, art and media background. It featured film director Mamdouh Salem, famous singer Mohammad Al-Zailaee, illusionist Ahmad Al-Bayedh, flight engineer Khalid Jawa and Red Bull athlete Mohammad Al-Bloushy.
Red Bull Flugtag kicked off first in Vienna, Austria back in 1992. Ever since, the event was held in more than 100 times.
The final overall results (Top 3):1.Team Saher - 207 Points
2.Flying Carpet - 156 Ponits
3.Rocketeers - 138 Points
